Apple of Discord's Eye (Chapter 7)Just a few days after that strange encounter in the palace, Celestia had already pushed the incident to the back of her mind as she and her sister carried on with their everyday activities. On this particular afternoon, the princesses were playing out in the gardens while their parents handled important royal affairs in the palace.Apple of Discord's Eye (Chapter 7) by ponderinginsanity
There was some conflict, though, as both sisters had a different idea of what playtime was supposed to consist of.
“Sorry, Lu, we must have played that game a thousand times. Just yesterday I played it with you! Can you not just let me read? Just this once?”
Being a few years older than Luna, Celestia liked to think of herself as more mature, even if she was still just a filly herself. She preferred things like reading her books and practicing magic over playing silly games. She was the practical one, while her sister tended to be more imaginative. Ignoring Luna’s pleas, she stuck her nose back in her book. A few moments of blissful silence
Apple of Discord's Eye (Chapter 9)In less than an instant, Twilight and Discord arrived at their destination in Canterlot, only to discover that they had a short wait at the castle before Celestia had time to see them. “Feeding time!” cried the yellow mare, as she finished placing various dishes full of nuts, greens, seeds and fresh fruit on the floor around her. Not a moment after the announcement was given, the house was crammed from floor to ceiling with birds and critters that were practically pouring through the windows, each fighting for a first taste at the food spread out for them. Not a single feeder was left uncrowded by birds, and soon Fluttershy was surrounded by critters trying to get at the bowls she had so neatly placed.
“Now now, one at a time, please.” she murmured in a voice that could soothe even the crankiest of dragons to sleep. As she watched over the feeding animals, a small commotion caught her attention, and soon she was gently prying two quarreling chipmunks apart. “No fighting, you two!
